Nice To Meet You

Though I have yet to personally meet these shoes, I will soon, if there's any left. The "Nice To Meet You" Y-3 Limited Sneaker was just released to commemorate the opening of the new Manhattan Y-3 store. With only 50 pairs made at $500 a pair, I will not get to know them as well as I would like.

Anyway, saw them on HS via Cool Hunting and thought they were sick, Sick, SICK!

By weekend's end I need to stop by and do a "meet and greet."

What's Lifelike?

Last June I found a song by relation called, "Your Tiny Mind," remixed by Lifelike. This remix officially put Lifelike on the map for me. Though reading the bio on his website I've learned that Lauren Ash is a veteran of EDM, who first started producing in the mid 90's in France. In addition to producing and remixing, he is responsible for the 2005 underground dance anthem, "Discopolis," which has since been re-released with remixes by the likes of Chris Lake.

In the last year it seems that Lifelike has been releasing remixes left and right, including the popular remix of "Needy Girl" by Chromeo, as well as an original catchy single called, "So Electric," that just oozes of Italo Disco.

Lifelike will be visiting the US with an appearance (still to be confirmed) at Studio B in Greenpoint, Brooklyn on April 25th. For a preview, download the DJ Set Lifelike just posted in January on his website.
